the team of the chalet
The Gorini family, who also run the Chalet de la Marine, the Hotel 3 Vallées and the 5-star Pashmina hotel, took over the Chalet des 2 Lacs in the summer of 2017 to make it an exceptional place in the Val Thorens area.
Accompanied by a team of enthusiasts, the brothers Arnaud and Cédric Gorini have only one motivation: to offer visitors a friendly and typical place around a reinvented Savoyard cuisine.
Their partners, Nils and Lauren Aubé, have been bringing this mission to life for over seven years, supported by a close-knit, caring team that is deeply committed to working in a positive and joyful atmosphere.

Arnaud Gorini, Nils & Lauren Aubé
Nils began his journey at the Chalet de la Marine in 2014 and, over the winters, became Arnaud’s right-hand man in managing the mountain chalet. When the Chalet des 2 Lacs adventure began in 2017, it was only natural for Arnaud, Nils, and Lauren to take on this new challenge together.
On a daily basis, Nils and Lauren run the Chalet des 2 Lacs with the precision required at altitude: supplies are delivered by snowmobile in the morning, the teams ride up on skis with the first lift, tables are set and deck chairs arranged, while in the kitchen the team gets to work preparing the day’s dishes.
The team at the Chalet des 2 Lacs welcomes you as soon as the slopes open for a coffee in the first rays of the sun, then for lunch, on the terrace or inside the chalet.
