The Gorini family, who also run the Chalet de la Marine, the Hotel 3 Vallées and the 5-star Pashmina hotel, took over the Chalet des 2 Lacs in the summer of 2017 to make it an exceptional place in the Val Thorens area.

Accompanied by a team of enthusiasts, the brothers Arnaud and Cédric Gorini have only one motivation: to offer visitors a friendly and typical place around a reinvented Savoyard cuisine. 


Their partner Nils Aubé has been making this mission come alive for more than five years, surrounded by a close-knit, caring team that is committed to working in a good mood.

Arnaud Gorini & Nils Aubé

Nils made his debut at the Chalet de la Marine in 2014, and became Arnaud's right-hand man in the management of the high altitude chalet. When the Chalet des 2 Lacs adventure began in 2017, it was only natural that Arnaud and Nils took up this new challenge together.


On a daily basis, Nils runs the Chalet des 2 Lacs with all the precision needed at altitude: deliveries are organised in the morning by snowmobile, the teams ski up with the first lift, the tables are laid and the deckchairs are set up while in the kitchen, the team is busy launching the day's preparations.


The team at the Chalet des 2 Lacs welcomes you as soon as the slopes open for a coffee in the first rays of the sun, then for lunch, on the terrace or inside the chalet.

The Head Consultant

Josselin Jeanblanc

In 2010 Josselin Jeanblanc joined Romuald Fassenet, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, in the kitchen of the Chalet de la Marine in Val Thorens. 

Then in 2015, Josselin joined the team at the Hotel Pashmina, the Gorini family's new 5-star hotel. He is now in charge of the kitchens of the two restaurants of the establishment: the Base Camp and Les Explorateurs, awarded a Michelin star since 2017.

Josselin Jeanblanc is also the consulting chef for all the restaurants of the Yak et Yéti family group.
